Our Commitments:

  • Community Building: We create events where hunting enthusiasts can come together, share their passion, and forge lasting connections. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter or just starting out, Northwest Hunt Fest is your opportunity to join together with the hunting community to share, learn, experience, and grow as a hunter.
  • Expertise and Education: Northwest Hunt Fest is committed to providing access to the knowledge and expertise of hunting professionals and experts. Through workshops, seminars, and interactive experiences, we empower hunters with the skills and information they need to become responsible, ethical, and successful hunters.
  • Friendly Competition: Competition has long been a driving force in hunting, and at Northwest Hunt Fest, we celebrate it as an integral part of our event. We organize friendly competitions that challenge and inspire hunters of all ages and skill levels, promoting camaraderie and a sense of accomplishment.
  • Youth Empowerment: We understand the importance of passing down our hunting heritage to the next generation. Northwest Hunt Fest is dedicated to supporting youth archery and young hunter programs, providing opportunities for children and teenagers to learn about conservation, ethics, and safe hunting practices.
  • Conservation and Stewardship: We recognize hunters’ vital role in wildlife conservation and habitat preservation. We provide the opportunity for conservation organizations to educate on responsible hunting practices and advocate for the sustainable management of our natural resources, ensuring that future generations can enjoy hunting for the future.

In pursuit of our mission, Northwest Hunt Fest strives to be a beacon of unity, education, and passion within the hunting community. Together, we celebrate the traditions of the past while shaping the future of hunting through education, camaraderie, and a deep commitment to conservation and hunter education. Join us in our journey to honor our hunting heritage and empower the next generation of hunters.

LEADERSHIP

Meet Penny B - Founder & Executive Director

Thank you for your interest in the Northwest Hunt Fest. I’m excited to bring to North Idaho an event dedicated to hunter education while supporting our long-term vision to fund youth archery and young hunter day camps in the northwest.

A bit about me:

  • I was born and raised in North Idaho
  • I come from a family who hunted all their meat and lived off the land in the mountains near Rathdrum, Idaho
  • I started bowhunting two years ago and I’m addicted!
  • My 25+ year professional career spans education, ministry, media/marketing, organizational leadership, and large-scale event planning.
  • My husband of 23+ years eats ELK meat…I need to feed him.
  • I love the mountains and chasing four-legged critters around the woods. There is nothing like it.
  • Most evenings (year-round) you’ll find me e-scouting for elk habitats
  • I’m blessed in this season of life to be able to volunteer my time to growing hunter education programs through the nonprofit work of the Northwest Hunt Fest, writing books and devotionals, and caring for senior family members.
